About Us
My name is Anne. I have two sons, the eldest is a Manager in a Graphic Design Company. The youngest Son is a year 10 student. Many years ago I worked abroad in places like Spain and Gibraltar. I have 2 Hon.Degrees in secretarial skills. Also a City and Guilds in Interior Design with 9 Distinctions and 8 merits in my course work.
In the past I have worked for the RAC at the head office in Personnel and Training. Aslo I have worked within my Father's Company, J P Shevlin & Sons which is a Construction Company. My Father's Company is currently working on Euro tunnel stations. Past contracts have included Stanstead Airport, St.Brides House Fleet Street, and a number of MOD contracts including also Mildenhall the American Air Force Base, to name but a few.
I am a School Governor and I have had two poems printed by United Press in two seperate books. I am currently working on a collection of poems to be published. I am a staunch Liverpool FC supporter and have supported them for many years, even travelling up to Anfield.
My website has kindly been put together free of charge by my cousin Jim Woolfe and I thank him with much gratitude. Also my website banner was put together with Jim , and by my Son Jason whom I thank. Both Jim and Jason are really busy people and I appreciate the time and trouble they have taken out, to help me, and others about this particular 'issue'.
A Poem
I wrote the following poem with the 51,000 children in mind that are now on the national DNA database.DNA
My DNA is on the databaseMum thinks it's so uncool.
My DNA is on the database
Im not even out of school.
Am I now a criminal?
I did'nt get a fine.
My DNA is on the database
I did'nt commit no crime.
My DNA is there for life now
For anyone to see! My Mum never gave her consent
For it to be taken from me!
My DNA is on the database
I think it's such a shame.
Now I believe this could be true
I now have the mark of 'Cain'.
